Delft 3D FLOW Model current outputs

I have used Delft 3D FLOW model to obtain hydrodynamics in a selected domain in the Indian Ocean for my undergraduate research project. The Flow model was calibrated successfully for two stations for the water levels. But when Depth averaged velocities are extracted in a particular point in the domain, those values exist between 0.00001-0.00004 which seems to be impossible. I tried at my best to find out the reason for this case. But still couldn't be rectified it. Please be kind enough to provide me the instructions to obtain accurate current plot from Delft 3D Flow model. This is an urgent requirement. Quick response is highly appreciated.

Hi Ravindu,

You need to analyse your model settings to find out why the average velocity is lower than you expect. The user manual may help you. Other options you have:
- The Deltares training courses
- Post a more detailed description on this forum, possibly with the full set of input files
- Ask someone to have a look at your model. Deltares can do that, but it's not free of charge.

Regards,

Adri
