DD Boundary in 3D

Hej,
I just heard about the option to reduce the computational running time by running with multi-domain.
After checking the manuals I understood it like that:
- over RGFGRID several grids can be connected over DD boundaries to have the options the refine just some parts.
I want to model the Sediment Transport in a small harbour (3D), thinking to use around 6 sigma-layers. Is it possible to use the DD boundaries in the 3D mode?
Untill now I had just one grid and now I thought about splitting the harbour and the river from each other to just refine the interesting grid part of the harbour, cause I urgently need to reduce the running time.
If I would have 2 grids, do I also need to have f.e. 2 boundary condition files/bathymetrie/roughness etc??
I would be very pleased if anyone could help and share the experiences.
Thanks in advance.
Manu

Hi Manu,
Please check the FAQ.
3D models can be run in parallel, both with DomainDecomposition and parallelMPI.
Regards,
Adri
