Calibration - Astronomical tide out of phase with tide water level data

Hi All,

I have a coastal model which has astronomical tide constituents forcing the tide on the open boundaries.
The astronomical constituents have been derived from the program Tidal Model Driver (TMD).
The model has been calibrated for the year 2013-2014, in which monitored and modelled water levels match well.

Now I want to check model calibration for a few months in 2017, over which I have tidal/ADCP data.
The monitored and modelled water levels match in shape, but seem to be out by exactly 16 hours.
Is there a setting in Delft3D that can shift the tide by this amount of time, to correct the tide phase?

I have tried numerous corrections, but none simply shift the tide in time.

Thanks,
Judy.

I have the exact same problem. I thought it might be the time zone value but it wasn´t. Have you solved it?

Hi Esther,
I tried several things including changing initial water levels, but nothing produced the simple shift. You might just have to offset the simulation start time. Possibly there is also an error in the recording of observational data.
