Couple TELEMAC and DELWAQ

Hello,

I am now trying to couple TELEMAC and DELWAQ (Open Source Code: Delft3D_4.01.00.rc.07).

Based on the official telemac3d example (delwaq), I applied new .slf and .cli files (a retengle), instead of the duex case. TELEMAC seems to run well, producing .hyd and .waq files. However, when they were coupled with DELWAQ, they lead to a crash at the "Waq (1)" step. When I checked the .lst file, DELWAQ does not seem to properly read/write the boundary conditions (.cli and .inp files). In other words, the .cli file, which I created with BlueKenue) does not seems compatible with DELWAQ.

I wish that I could hear something about the causes of the error and the way to solve the problem. I also have posted necessary files in attachement.

Thank you in advance.

as the developer and maintainer of the GUI, I was able to reproduce this problem. I will look into it.

I found the bug - a matter of counting the boundary cells (which is not entirely trivial).

Please find attached the updated GUI. Could you try and tell me if this works? Just unpack it and replace the original GUI program by this version.

One more thing:

Open the scenario file and re-import the hydrodynamics. The latter is important because the scenario file contains erroneous information about the boundary sections. By reimporting the hydrodynamics all such information should be properly updated.

Dear Mr. Markus,

I have tested the new DELWAQ GUI.
It resolved the above problem, but it had a new problem.
The Waq (1) step stopped, and the .lst file showed many errors for setting "Thatcher-Harleman timelags" in Block 4.

For example in the .lst file,
------------------------------------------------------------------
Time lag option: 2
Constant time lags with defaults
Default value : 0Y- 0D- 0H- 0M- 0S
Number of overridings : 240
Number values

ERROR, invalid time lag: 590
ERROR, invalid time lag: 630
ERROR, invalid time lag: 670
ERROR, invalid time lag: 710
ERROR, invalid time lag: 750
ERROR, invalid time lag: 790
...
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Could you check again the files in attachment?

Thank you!

Joon
