Help whit Manning Coefficient

Hello all:
My name is Reinaldo and i'm working on my thesis of pregrade modelling a Channel in South of Chile using Delft3D Flow, i have calibrate the water level of tide and the current direction but i can't take the magnitud of depth average velocity for a real value, when i try to calibrate this always take very slow results in Delft3D Flow vs ADCP. I know that manning value in coastal of Chile is 0.03 from a tipical value, but when i'm trying to give this value my current speed takes values over 30 m/s, the maximum value being 0.06 I can give the model to keep the magnitude of the current in the place, entering a value less that the model does not provide any consistent result. Anyone know who may need this? whereas the manual suggests using Delft3D Flow 0.02 for Manning?.
Thank you very much in advance.
Best Regards

My name is Wang and i'm a new user of Delft3D.I have no ability to help you but maybe you can help me.My problem is that i felt confused about the tagged versions and I don't know which one is the latest version .For example ,among the tagged versions 2367,2399,4.00.00.0061,4.00.01.0265,5.00.10.1983 and 5.01.00.2163,which one is latest? What different between the 2367 of the same kind and 4.00.00.0061 of the same kind? Looking forward to your reply and thank you very much in advance.

Hi Wang
Good to see you're making use of the forum but in future please start your own (new) thread for a new question (to do this use the 'post new thread' button on any of the message board pages).
The numbering of the tagged version is explained on the download source code page of the open source community website. Alternatively looking at the log entries associated with each of the tagged versions will show you when they were created and which version numbers they represent. E.g. the most recent tagged version is 4085. The log shows that it was created on 26/sep/2014 and contains DELWAQ Version 5.02.00.4085, Delft3D-FLOW Version 6.01.08.4085 and
Delft3D-WAVE Version 3.04.02.4085.
Cheers
Richard

The best article I've ever read, wow. I'm proud to have surviv io been the fortunate one to locate an article that many people still need to look very hard to find.
