Questions of model refinement and FLOW-WAVE coupling

I am new to delft-3D and I am starting a project that needs FLOW and WAVE coupling.
The DEM has 3 level of refinements (coarse, medium and fine). The finer grids are totally inside the coarser grids.
My questions are:
1. Should I use domain-decomposition or nesting to achieve the model refinement?
2. One wave model could only couple one FLOW model. I heard domain-decomposition could not be used for WAVE. Then if I choose domain-decomposition for FLOW, should I build several corresponding WAVE models as well? If I use nesting, the grid for WAVE should be the same as FLOW or not?
3. How about the DEM inconsistency between each level of refinement?

Did you receive a reply, or find the answers to your questions. I'm looking for similar answers!
I want to have a coarse and fine grid of my study area, but am unsure whether the FLOW or WAVE model should have coarse-fine nesting and if wave, whether the finest resolution needs to be the same as the FLOW.
Thanks
