Coastal systems are among the most dynamic physical systems on earth and are subject to a large variety of forces. The morphodynamic changes occurring to coastlines worldwide are of great interest and importance. These changes occur as a result of the erosion of sediments, its subsequent transport as bed load or suspended load, and eventual deposition. 
 
Estuaries are partly enclosed water bodies that have an open connection to the coast. Estuaries generally have one or more branching channels, intertidal mudflats and/or salt marshes. Intertidal areas are of high ecological importance and trap sediments (sands, silts, clays and organic matter).
Within the Delft3D modelling package a large variation of coastal and estuarine physical and chemical processes can be simulated. These include waves, tidal propagation, wind- or wave-induced water level setup, flow induced by salinity or temperature gradients, sand and mud transport, water quality and changing bathymetry (morphology). Delft3D can also be used operationally e.g. storm, surge and algal bloom forecasting.

Hi,
I've just updated to Delft Dashboard v2, and i found it unstable like v1.
It's always has problem with the Making boundary condition tool, but i found the way to get it done.
Today, when i start the model, many errors are informed:

An error occured while initializing Tide Database toolbox. Toolbox will be made inactive!

and the model still start successful. But when i generate boundary condition, nothing happens and a lot more error like above are informed.

Error using nc_varget_java (line 31)
Could not open 'http://opendap.deltares.nl/thredds/dodsC/opendap/deltares/delftdashboard/tidemodels/tpxo72.nc' with java backend.

I do not know any idea to fix it.
Can you help me out with this and explain why the delft dashboard v2 is more unstable than v1

I am having the similar issue (April 6th)

The error message is
Could not open 'http://opendap.deltares.nl/thredds/dodsC/opendap/deltares/delftdashboard/tidemodels/tpxo72.nc'

I am suspecting that the website is down.

Exactly, the problem due to the server.
I've just check the model, everything is ok now.
But still have problem when you open exited mdf file, the file is not open appropriated.

All,

First, we had some problems with the server hosting the TPXO netcdfs, but these are now resolved. Moreover, we have changed the boundary conditions code somewhat. So we would recommend that you update your checkout.
