Coast / Estuary

Coastal systems are among the most dynamic physical systems on earth and are subject to a large variety of forces. The morphodynamic changes occurring to coastlines worldwide are of great interest and importance. These changes occur as a result of the erosion of sediments, its subsequent transport as bed load or suspended load, and eventual deposition.

Estuaries are partly enclosed water bodies that have an open connection to the coast. Estuaries generally have one or more branching channels, intertidal mudflats and/or salt marshes. Intertidal areas are of high ecological importance and trap sediments (sands, silts, clays and organic matter).
Within the Delft3D modelling package a large variation of coastal and estuarine physical and chemical processes can be simulated. These include waves, tidal propagation, wind- or wave-induced water level setup, flow induced by salinity or temperature gradients, sand and mud transport, water quality and changing bathymetry (morphology). Delft3D can also be used operationally e.g. storm, surge and algal bloom forecasting.

Dear all,

I tried to use some modules of Delft3D virsion 4.01.00.rc.12 as a plugin in ArcMap 10.0. I followed the instruction on the PDF and I set the system environmental variable WL_PLUGINS_HOME to "C:\Deltares\Delft3D_4.01.00.rc.12\win32\plugins" and ran the "Register_Arcgis10_MFE_win64.bat" file.

Then I started the ArcMap, an error message showed:

"Can not load dll, see window title".

However, the "Delft3d-GISPlugins" can be seen in the extensions but only a blank toolbar appeared at the top of my ArcMap window when the box was checked.

I also tried to add the dll into ArcMap directly but failed.

Any suggestions on how to make it work?

Thanks

Haijun Li

Mine is very strange. I followed the instruction on the PDF. Then I could see the plugin is in the right click menu. But when I click the Item and open it. What I could see is just a little blank board. Nothing in it.. Have you solve the problem???

Hey Jack,

Were you able to solve the problem with Delft3d-GIS plugin?

Cheers,

Hey Hadiseh,

Not yet. I've been emailing support for quite a while to get some tips from them but they seemed to be too busy for this.

Anyone here got it fixed?

I still get the same problem: an empty toolbar and the plugin doesnt show up in the extensions list.
Have you got any response from the support team?

Thank you
