Coastal Lagoon

Hi everyone.I have been modelling a coastal lagoon: one entrance throw the sea and the discharge of 4 river. From the sea (open boundary) i have the time series, because the forcing is water level but the other open boundary (rivers) are not working. The water is outflow of my system instead of inflow. I modelled the first time these rivers like Discharge in "Operation" section but does not work very well. Please help me to understand why is this happens? and how can i to understand this river?
Thank you!

Hi Mario,
Do you model river discharge as an open boundary? The direction of discharge inflow depends on the orientation of your grid. Positive discharges indicate flow in positive M/N direction. If the model flows in negative M/N direction, negative discharges must be specified. So, if the water outflows from the model domain, than you might have to multiply discharge data by minus one to specify negative values.
