above you need a rethink as that might be your problem. Are all the
cells you have actually needed, i.e. part of a flood plain you are
trying to capture? If not, delete them. If yes, Flexible Meshing
might be an option, as beyond the actual channels you don't need all
that resolution. There may be someone on here with experience of
modelling flooding deltas who can help more ......
Phil Shepperd2019-04-23T11:47:09ZRE: error in double array allocation of vicuvHieu Nguyenhttps://oss.deltares.nl/c/message_boards/find_message?p_l_id=1806675&messageId=22873112019-04-19T05:20:11Z2019-04-19T05:20:11Z
Here they are.
I am using DEM file with resolution of 15 x15m. I know that we should
creat a manageable grid but because my branch network are small. I
mean the channel width is from 20-40m and are not in a straight line.
Then I have to reduce the grid size.

I have not expected that this problem will comes up.
Hieu Nguyen2019-04-18T04:31:59ZRE: error in double array allocation of vicuvPhil Shepperdhttps://oss.deltares.nl/c/message_boards/find_message?p_l_id=1806675&messageId=22837302019-04-17T10:21:02Z2019-04-17T10:21:02Z
I imagine you have way way too many cells in your model. How many do
you have? Tens of thousands is a typical number if you want a model
that a) runs in a reasonable time and b) generates output files of a
manageable size. Why do you think you need such high resolution
across the model area? Why do you need such high resolution anywhere
at all? What are you trying to model? I think a total grid re-think
is required, with such very high resolution focused only where it is
needed.
Phil Shepperd2019-04-17T10:21:02Zerror in double array allocation of vicuvHieu Nguyenhttps://oss.deltares.nl/c/message_boards/find_message?p_l_id=1806675&messageId=22834202019-04-17T05:55:46Z2019-04-17T05:55:45Z
Hi all,

I got this error when I was setting up the model for a delta.

The area is about 459 km2. The grid cell is 12 x 17m.

The error seems due to too bid model for win32 ???

Is there any solution for this?

Please give me some advice.
