I just want to use delft3d to model the changes of bed morphology in 2D. Could you give me some suggestion whether the delft3d is fit for this simulaitons due to the size of the flume?best regard!Chunping Ren2020-06-19T07:57:18ZCan Delft3d-flow be used to simulate the flow process in flume, 2D or 3D?Chunping Renhttps://oss.deltares.nl/c/message_boards/find_message?p_l_id=1806746&messageId=20605492018-12-05T15:17:27Z2018-12-05T15:17:27Z
Hi there, we conducted a flow experiment in flume
(width=60cm,length=20m, depth=60cm). we plan to simulate the 3d flow
process using delft3d because we need to consider sediment transport.
However, as delft3d's manual says, the delft3d aims to model flow
phenomenon of which the horizontal length and time scales are
significantly larger than the vertical. On the other hand, I know that
fluent is good at simulating the flow process in flume. would anyone
like to give us some suggestion?
