At the wave boundary I am trying to apply WWIII results.
I have deep water wave period, direction and height from WWW III model for every 3 hours (downloaded from NOAA website). From the xBeach manual the closest boundary type
I came across to set this up is to use Jonswap spatial and time varying condition.

Wave direction is 270 (from North, nautical convention) and with s value (spreading parameter) set at 16.0, model says 50% of wave energy is directed outside the model domain.
I want to target all the wave energy along 270 degree orientation. What values I should set for spreading and gamma variables in jonswap function so that energy is directed along the wave direction.

If this approach is incorrect, can you please suggest as how I can implement WW III (wave height, period and direction values) deep water output as boundary condition in xBeach model.

Thanks
VenkatVenkat Kolluru2016-11-21T00:43:33Z
