The lagoon is enclosed with thin walls and the intake and outlet of a culvert are in the adjacent cells, one on each side of a thin dam. I am worried about how momentum is assigned at the discharge from the culvert.

In the manual it says that for discharges: "The momentum released to the flow due to a discharge is distributed over the velocity points that bound the quadrant in which the discharge is released." But my understanding is that only the Type=momentum discharge has the functionality where user can specify the direction and magnitude of out-coming velocity.

So how is the momentum then treated with culverts? It doesn't say anywhere in the manual. All I could find is that culverts are considered a special form of in-out discharge

Does anyone know where in the source code the discharges are added to the momentum terms, so I could potentially prescribe the direction manually? I did some investigation myself, however the source code can be quit hard to follow.

Any help will be much appreciated

Regards, NejcNejc Coz2017-04-12T13:56:18Z
