Delft-FEWS international user meeting 2022

09 Nov 2022  - 10 Nov 2022 Deltares, The Netherlands

Annual user meeting for Delft-FEWS users around the globe

After two years of online user meetings, we are happy to welcome the Delft-FEWS community to the Netherlands again! This year we celebrate our 18th international User Meeting.

Delft-FEWS International User Days
9 & 10 November 2022
Delft, the Netherlands

In this edition, we will focus on use-cases and different perspectives of early warning systems, the latest developments and of course there will be time to reconnect. We encourage user stories from the community and invite you to share experiences with Delft-FEWS systems from the past and present. What steps did you take in developing your forecasting system to prepare it for future challenges?

Through the lens of past- and future challenges in forecasting, we will focus on the following components:

Delft-FEWS from new to maturity
User stories of Delft-FEWS: forecasting and decision-making in crisis situations. What are the lessons learned and developments to evolve a system?

End-users and applications
Focusing on the types of applications to what Delft-FEWS can be used for: making forecasts, decisions and giving advice that are fit-for-purpose.

Delft-FEWS developments
Focusing on new Delft-FEWS capabilities and back-end technology: software environments, cloud technology, web-viewers, model couplings and model adapters, scripting and data management surrounding Delft-FEWS systems.
