The Republic Hydrometeorological Service of Serbia contracted Deltares for the development of another Delft-FEWS based forecasting application, next to the Sava Forecasting and Warning System they already use. The new project aims at building a forecasting system for the Velika Morava river basin, which sizes almost 40,000 km2. Deltares will develop a Wflow and HEC-HMS model together with the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Mihailo Andjelic as senior technical and local advisor.

The system is scheduled to become in operation for realtime hydrological forecasting by the end of 2019.
