On September the 6th Marcel Ververs and Indra Marth visited the Deltares clients of the Austrian Delft-FEWS systems in Linz. Getting to know each other in person was a good start for Indra’s new role as account manager for Austria. It was interesting to hear how the different FEWS Systems are used and to discuss possible future developments based on the users’ wishes. We exchanged a lot of input to process and to pick up.

 On the agenda for the day was:

• the introduction of Indra as the new account manager for the Austrian systems,

• the presentation of future plans for Delft-FEWS (roadmap plan)

• discussion on the organization for future collaboration in support and maintenance

• explanation on how the systems are used

• discussion on the users’ plans for the future, wishes and goals

The web operator client and the open archive was of special interest during the meeting. It was agreed upon to have regular meetings in which the status and the plans for the systems are further evaluated and discussed. A development plan will help to keep track of the implementation of the wishes and the goals for the systems. We thank our users for the very nice and productive meeting, and we are looking forward to our further collaboration.
