In seven cities around the world, the Delft-FEWS user days were organized last year.

1. Baton Rouge, USA. March 2019. For the second time, the USA/Canada Delft-FEWS User Meeting was organized and hosted by The Water Institute of the Gulf. The meeting room was located “in” the river bed of the Mississippi river with very high water levels at that time, which made a nice atmosphere when talking about flood forecasting.
    

2. Melbourne, Australia. May 2019. The 6th edition of the Delft-FEWS User Days Australia was joined by around 65 people from 17 organizations: a new record. Do you know the Australian Delft-FEWS users love to dance to freshen up their minds?
    

3. Delft, The Netherlands. June 2019. Dutch users shared interesting presentations on the main theme 'Operational water management under extreme weather conditions' at Deltares.
    

4. Hamburg, Germany. June 2019. The German-speaking Delft-FEWS users discussed the use of their forecasting systems and the participants spontaneously organized a breakfast session ‘show your system’.
    

5. Delft, The Netherlands. November 2019. About 150 community members from around the world reunited at Deltares for the 15th edition of the international Delft-FEWS user days. Interesting keynote speeches opened both days describing the Canadian context for cold regions data collection and operational modelling and the rapid growth  of the Philippine Red Cross Early Warning in Action. Presentations of great quality were given from government, industry and academic speakers on the challenge of Early Warning in Action. Notable in this were new developments from the Incident Management Forecasting System from the UK Environment Agency and the planned path of Delft-FEWS as we move towards 2025.
    

6. Foz do Iguacu, Brasil. November 2019. Two weeks later, a brand-new community took shape as Delft-FEWS users from Latin America met for the first time, focusing on the integration of hydrological data and models from different sources.
    

7. Bangkok, Thailand. November 2019. During the Deltares Software Days South-East Asia, over 100 very enthusiastic participants joined the seminar and workshops on coastal flood forecasting, climate adaptation pathways and river basin modelling with wflow.
