On 26 and 27 October the Delft-FEWS User Days take place at the Delft Software Days. Delft-FEWS is a two-day event which allows you to share your experiences and new developments with Delft-FEWS users across the globe. This year, next to the traditional sessions dedicated to configuration and new features of the software, we will expand our focus and look at the world of forecasting beyond...

On the 5th of July 2016 our partner Hydrotec hosted the first Delft-FEWS user day for German speaking customers . Attendants came to Aachen from as far as Vienna and Hamburg. The day was chaired by Oliver Buchholz, the leader of the Hydrotec Delft-FEWS team. Dirk Schwanenberg (Deltares / University of Duisberg/Essen) presented the latest features, and then three interesting case studies...

On the 27th and 28th April 2016, the 3rd Delft-FEWS User Days Australia will be held at the Bureau of Meteorology offices in Melbourne. This year we plan to host an additional training course on Friday 29th April on the use of probablistic forecasting. The invitations will be sent out shortly. In the past year we have been working hard on the design of a new logo for Delft-FEWS. A difficult challenge, because, what is Delft-FEWS exactly? Many designs have been made, crisizised and restructured until finally we came to a logo that felt good. We have made a small animation that illustrates the design process.

Last week the Delft-FEWS International User Days took place: more then 100 participants from all over the world visited Deltares to share experiences and knowledge, and to strengthen the flood forecasting community. Read more...
