Coast / Estuary

Coastal systems are among the most dynamic physical systems on earth and are subject to a large variety of forces. The morphodynamic changes occurring to coastlines worldwide are of great interest and importance. These changes occur as a result of the erosion of sediments, its subsequent transport as bed load or suspended load, and eventual deposition. 
 
Estuaries are partly enclosed water bodies that have an open connection to the coast. Estuaries generally have one or more branching channels, intertidal mudflats and/or salt marshes. Intertidal areas are of high ecological importance and trap sediments (sands, silts, clays and organic matter).
Within the Delft3D modelling package a large variation of coastal and estuarine physical and chemical processes can be simulated. These include waves, tidal propagation, wind- or wave-induced water level setup, flow induced by salinity or temperature gradients, sand and mud transport, water quality and changing bathymetry (morphology). Delft3D can also be used operationally e.g. storm, surge and algal bloom forecasting.

Hello Everyone

I am working on a wastewater pond modelling for almost a year. I am really enjoying working with D-waq. Besides my results seems very well. I should thank you for your excellent software and support team. However recently I have a difficult with CO2 reaetation . since I activated this process my model does not run and the error bellow appears in the window.

Hello Fatemeh,

the documentation states that for CO2 only the options 0, 1, 4, 11 and 13 are available. Would one of these suit your purpose?

Thanks for quick respond and, I know what is the problem now. I did not pay attention to SWRearCO2 options. I think one of them can be the one I want.

I changed SWRearCO2 to 0, 1, 4, 11 and 13 but I have the same problem. Did I miss something else?

Are you sure that you changed the right parameter? I checked the code and also ran a small test - this message only appears if the option is outside the range 0 to 13. The options 11 and 13 are specific to CO2 but the others can be used - with some caution perhaps, as they are based on the physics, not the chemistry - for CO2 as well.
