intro story Coast / Estuary

Coast / Estuary

Coastal systems are among the most dynamic physical systems on earth and are subject to a large variety of forces. The morphodynamic changes occurring to coastlines worldwide are of great interest and importance. These changes occur as a result of the erosion of sediments, its subsequent transport as bed load or suspended load, and eventual deposition.

Estuaries are partly enclosed water bodies that have an open connection to the coast. Estuaries generally have one or more branching channels, intertidal mudflats and/or salt marshes. Intertidal areas are of high ecological importance and trap sediments (sands, silts, clays and organic matter).
Within the Delft3D modelling package a large variation of coastal and estuarine physical and chemical processes can be simulated. These include waves, tidal propagation, wind- or wave-induced water level setup, flow induced by salinity or temperature gradients, sand and mud transport, water quality and changing bathymetry (morphology). Delft3D can also be used operationally e.g. storm, surge and algal bloom forecasting.

Change it, If it doesn't workAdditional to all of these, due to our work, we were unable to spend time with the dog. A dog needs so much attention and petting. I started feeling that the purpose of having a dog is not helping the dog or me.So, I decided to give it up, and one of my friends happily took it home. Than me, it was my wife who started missing the dog so much. It went like that for a while, and then a stray approached us. It will sleep near our gate, and we started feeding her.She liked us a lot and started moving into our porch. Seeing her getting fed, we had three more joinings for the food. The strays get their food and love from us without having to spend much time with them. They wander around when we aren't home and come back once we are at home. Now, the dogs are doing security duty plus receiving the care they need. We also enjoy the company of dogs around us. Purpose served and problem solved. Coaching agile transitions
