intro story Coast / Estuary

Coast / Estuary

Coastal systems are among the most dynamic physical systems on earth and are subject to a large variety of forces. The morphodynamic changes occurring to coastlines worldwide are of great interest and importance. These changes occur as a result of the erosion of sediments, its subsequent transport as bed load or suspended load, and eventual deposition.
Estuaries are partly enclosed water bodies that have an open connection to the coast. Estuaries generally have one or more branching channels, intertidal mudflats and/or salt marshes. Intertidal areas are of high ecological importance and trap sediments (sands, silts, clays and organic matter).
Within the Delft3D modelling package a large variation of coastal and estuarine physical and chemical processes can be simulated. These include waves, tidal propagation, wind- or wave-induced water level setup, flow induced by salinity or temperature gradients, sand and mud transport, water quality and changing bathymetry (morphology). Delft3D can also be used operationally e.g. storm, surge and algal bloom forecasting.
On this discussion page you can post questions, research discussions or just share your experience about modelling coastal and/or estuarine systems with Delft3D FM.

USB Passthrough not working any longer after most recent Debian Update

I'm utilizing a passthrough arrangement with a Windows 10 VM running on Debian testing which until yesterday worked consummately. In the wake of introducing the week after week refreshes (*1), the VM itself is as yet running fine, nonetheless, USB passthrough (*2) stopped working; great, not totally: The gadgets (BT connector and XBO recipient) actually appear, however Windows Device Manager states "Invalid Configuration Descriptor" and "Invalid Device Descriptor" separately. Quickpayportal Adding the gadgets by means of Spice functions as it did previously, however I'd preferably try not to need to add the Spice worker, regardless of whether the showcase can be set to "None". The main arrangement record that was refreshed during the update was "/and so forth/libvirt/qemu.conf", yet I have just added back all options (client, gathering, some EVDEV arrangement) and all the dynamic alternatives are equivalent to previously. The apparmor config (consistently one of the suspects) didn't change with this update and debilitating it in qemu.conf produces similar outcomes. On the off chance that you have a thought what precisely may have caused the USB passthrough not to work appropriately any longer, any assistance would be generally valued! In the event that your proposal is to go a regulator through, that sadly won't work due to the mobo's crappy IOMMU design and my reluctance to utilize a fixed piece on this specific machine
