D-Flow Flexible Mesh

D-Flow Flexible Mesh (D-Flow FM) is the new software engine for hydrodynamical simulations on unstructured grids in 1D-2D-3D. Together with the familiar curvilinear meshes from Delft3D 4, the unstructured grid can consist of triangles, pentagons (etc.) and 1D channel networks, all in one single mesh. It combines proven technology from the hydrodynamic engines of Delft3D 4 and SOBEK 2 and adds flexible administration, resulting in:

  • Easier 1D-2D-3D model coupling, intuitive setup of boundary conditions and meteorological forcings (amongst others).
  • More flexible 2D gridding in delta regions, river junctions, harbours, intertidal flats and more.
  • High performance by smart use of multicore architectures, and grid computing clusters.

wave boundary conditions-bcw file

Hi all,

I have set up two simple wave models. One is like Example 1 in A.2.8.2 in Delft3D-WAVE User Manual and the other like Example 2 in A.2.8.2. I edited MDW-files and .bcw files strictly following the description in A.2.8.2. But when running the model which is like Example 1, the SWAN stops running after the presence of the info as followed:

.....
>>End of SWAN run
*** ERROR: SWAN file PRINT contains ERRORS.

ERRORS in PRINT file are like this:

** Error : Directional spreading is less than 0 or larger than 360 degrees, and no exception value

The same case occurs when running the second model.

Anyone knows why this happens?

Appreciate any help.
