D-Flow Flexible Mesh

D-Flow Flexible Mesh (D-Flow FM) is the new software engine for hydrodynamical simulations on unstructured grids in 1D-2D-3D. Together with the familiar curvilinear meshes from Delft3D 4, the unstructured grid can consist of triangles, pentagons (etc.) and 1D channel networks, all in one single mesh. It combines proven technology from the hydrodynamic engines of Delft3D 4 and SOBEK 2 and adds flexible administration, resulting in:

  • Easier 1D-2D-3D model coupling, intuitive setup of boundary conditions and meteorological forcings (amongst others).
  • More flexible 2D gridding in delta regions, river junctions, harbours, intertidal flats and more.
  • High performance by smart use of multicore architectures, and grid computing clusters.

Hello everyone,

I am trying to setup a flow model, but I am repeatedly facing the following error when I try to generate tidal constituents from TPX 7.2 using the Delft Dashboard:

>> Reading: - h
>> Subscripted assignment dimension mismatch.

so, the .bca file is not generated!

This error occurs in both platforms Windows 7 - Matlab R2012b and Linux Gentoo - Matlab R2014.

The following .bnd file was generated automatically in the Dashboard:

I changed the .bnd file in matlab editor to try to solve the problem by giving the respective names to the beginning and end of boundaries; as the following file shows:

Someone could help me, please? - Why this is happening and how to solve?

Hi Mario,

I am not 100% sure what is going wrong. Did you update your Open Earth Tools (or specifically Delft Dashboard). Do be of more assistance, could you upload your model setup where Delft Dashboard could not determine the boundary condiitons?
