D-Flow Flexible Mesh

D-Flow Flexible Mesh (D-Flow FM) is the new software engine for hydrodynamical simulations on unstructured grids in 1D-2D-3D. Together with the familiar curvilinear meshes from Delft3D 4, the unstructured grid can consist of triangles, pentagons (etc.) and 1D channel networks, all in one single mesh. It combines proven technology from the hydrodynamic engines of Delft3D 4 and SOBEK 2 and adds flexible administration, resulting in:

  • Easier 1D-2D-3D model coupling, intuitive setup of boundary conditions and meteorological forcings (amongst others).
  • More flexible 2D gridding in delta regions, river junctions, harbours, intertidal flats and more.
  • High performance by smart use of multicore architectures, and grid computing clusters.

Hi,

I have compiled the Delft3D Open Source version 4.00.06.0834 in my Windows XP computer and it works fine with the example files.

Then I installed the latest version of setup.delft3d.opensource.exe (GUI, pre and post processing tools plus manuals). All installation process are fine (DS License Manager 5.10.1.0 and Delft3D 4.00.00). I have followed all instruction including to copy all files from the compiled .../bin/w32 folder to C;/Delft3D/w32 folder.

But when I try to load the Delft3D menu it always failed because of the license error. (The license file was sent to my email by request and it is valid until 15 January 2013).
The message error when I click the Delft3D icon is license is not valid.
If I open the d3d_menu.log file, these are the messages:

ErrorMessage:
Cannot checkout an uncounted license within a Windows Terminal Services guest session.

You could ask for another license file. Once I got a license file then the admin sent to me another one.

hi there,
was this problem resolved.
if so please let me know,

i have this Delft3D installed on a server (windows) where i login using remote desktop services.
and it doesn't allow me to open the menu.
