Time frame_for time series wave input - D-Flow Flexible Mesh - Delft3D
intro story D-Flow FM
D-Flow Flexible MeshD-Flow Flexible Mesh (D-Flow FM) is the new software engine for hydrodynamical simulations on unstructured grids in 1D-2D-3D. Together with the familiar curvilinear meshes from Delft3D 4, the unstructured grid can consist of triangles, pentagons (etc.) and 1D channel networks, all in one single mesh. It combines proven technology from the hydrodynamic engines of Delft3D 4 and SOBEK 2 and adds flexible administration, resulting in:
An overview of the current developments can be found here. The D-Flow FM - team would be delighted if you would participate in discussions on the generation of meshes, the specification of boundary conditions, the running of computations, and all kinds of other relevant topics. Hai
I am trying wave stand alone case.
I have given input file through wavecon file as
* Itdate Hs Tp Dir( ) ms wl windspeed wind dir.
BL01
100 8
0 2 10 270 4 0 0 0
60 4 10 245 4 0 0 0
120 3 10 290 4 0 0 0
....
...
...
.... it is taking input and giving results when i have given 3 times in time frame with respect to the reference date.
..
..
..
my question is
1) does this work only if we are given each time in time points for computation ?
if i want to give hourly time series data each time to put time in timeframe is impossible
2) will it directly take from wavecon file?
Whether i am doing wrong or not?
plz do help me to get out of this?
thanks and regards
shana

Hi Shana,
1) No, the values are interpolated in time
2) Only if the name of the file is exactly "wavecon.<runid>"

Adri
