D-Flow Flexible Mesh

D-Flow Flexible Mesh (D-Flow FM) is the new software engine for hydrodynamical simulations on unstructured grids in 1D-2D-3D. Together with the familiar curvilinear meshes from Delft3D 4, the unstructured grid can consist of triangles, pentagons (etc.) and 1D channel networks, all in one single mesh. It combines proven technology from the hydrodynamic engines of Delft3D 4 and SOBEK 2 and adds flexible administration, resulting in:

  • Easier 1D-2D-3D model coupling, intuitive setup of boundary conditions and meteorological forcings (amongst others).
  • More flexible 2D gridding in delta regions, river junctions, harbours, intertidal flats and more.
  • High performance by smart use of multicore architectures, and grid computing clusters.

underlayers and qpread()

Hello. I am trying to use the matlab function qpread() to extract the underlayer grid from my model, but I cannot figure out the syntax.

In the past I had been using vs_let to extract the THLYR parameter, and construct my underlayers by sequentially subtracting thickness from the bed, but I've been noticing some differences between my plots and those made by quickplot. So I think it's best if I switch to using qpread.

Below is the code that I am trying. Either of the qpread calls below will give me an error that says "plot type is not supported for underalyers". I've tried several different similar calls, but haven't gotten it to work. But since I can make underlayer plots in quickplot, I know that this data is accessible somehow...
