Error using Intel Parallel studio XE 2011 - VE 2008 and windows xp - D-Flow Flexible Mesh - Delft3D
intro story D-Flow FM
D-Flow Flexible MeshD-Flow Flexible Mesh (D-Flow FM) is the new software engine for hydrodynamical simulations on unstructured grids in 1D-2D-3D. Together with the familiar curvilinear meshes from Delft3D 4, the unstructured grid can consist of triangles, pentagons (etc.) and 1D channel networks, all in one single mesh. It combines proven technology from the hydrodynamic engines of Delft3D 4 and SOBEK 2 and adds flexible administration, resulting in:
An overview of the current developments can be found here. The D-Flow FM - team would be delighted if you would participate in discussions on the generation of meshes, the specification of boundary conditions, the running of computations, and all kinds of other relevant topics. Feel free to share your smart questions and/or brilliant solutions!

I`m having problems to degub delft3D using this programs.
The error is listened in the FAQ, "cannot open file 'ifconsol.lib'".
But the FAQ tells me to go to Project/delftio_shm Properties (this is what is appearing to me!)
and include the library link in "addicional Library Directories".
But it still not working.
Someone can help me, please?
Sorry my unperfect english.
Victor.

Hi Victor,
Do you have a problem with debugging or with building? Looking at your error message, I expect with building. When you have compiled in Visual Studio, can you post the contents of the output window (using copy/paste)?
Thanks.
Adri

Hi Adri,
In fact, I don't know exactly how to use the VS.
When I pushed the build button, the last two lines are:
3>flow2d3d_openda - 0 error(s), 8 warning(s)
========== Build: 3 succeeded, 0 failed, 58 up-to-date, 0 skipped ==========
I think its everthyng ok now, but i have no idea what I have to do now to use the delft3d software.
What do I have to do now?
Thanks.
Regards

Hi Victor,
It seems that you managed to compile the source code. Be sure that you build a Release version, see "src/README".
The next step is running the examples. Have a look at "http://oss.delft3d.nl/source-code#Run a calculation".
In case you don't have installed a Delft3D graphical user interface: have a look at "http://oss.delft3d.nl/source-code" while being signed in and read the "TEMPORARY EXTRA SERVICE".
Regards,
Adri
