Error when opening Delft Dashboard - D-Flow Flexible Mesh - Delft3D
intro story D-Flow FM
D-Flow Flexible MeshD-Flow Flexible Mesh (D-Flow FM) is the new software engine for hydrodynamical simulations on unstructured grids in 1D-2D-3D. Together with the familiar curvilinear meshes from Delft3D 4, the unstructured grid can consist of triangles, pentagons (etc.) and 1D channel networks, all in one single mesh. It combines proven technology from the hydrodynamic engines of Delft3D 4 and SOBEK 2 and adds flexible administration, resulting in:
An overview of the current developments can be found here. The D-Flow FM - team would be delighted if you would participate in discussions on the generation of meshes, the specification of boundary conditions, the running of computations, and all kinds of other relevant topics. Feel free to share your smart questions and/or brilliant solutions!

Error when opening Delft Dashboard

Hello,
I have some trouble with the Delft Dashboard. I installed it about a month ago and it worked perfectly well until I went on holidays for one week. Now I'm back and it does not work anymore. When I try to open it, some errors occur and the windows are closed again. The error messages are the following:
"??? Subscripted assignment between dissimilar structures.
Error in ==> ddb_getXm1Data at 140
Error in ==> ddb_readTiledBathymetries at 67
Error in ==> ddb_findBathymetryDatabases at 65
Error in ==> ddb_initialize at 74
Error in ==> DelftDashBoard at 93
MATLAB: heterogenousStrucAssignment"
A workmate then tried to open the Dashboard on his computer (he also didn't use it for some weeks) and he experienced the same errors.
Do you know how to solve this? I already tried to reinstall it but it still doesn't work. Also the hint with the installation as an administrator for a former threat did not help.
Best regards,
Zoe

Hi Zoe,
Sorry about this... We changed some data in the OPeNDAP server and now the Delft Dashboard executable does indeed crash. Can you please download an updated Dashboard executable from http://publicwiki.deltares.nl/display/OET/DelftDashboard? We are no longer working with the installer software that was used in previous versions of Delft Dashboard. This means that you should unpack the delftdashboard folder in the zip file to a location where you havbe write permission (e.g. d:\delftdashboard).
Cheers,
Maarten
