D-Flow Flexible Mesh

D-Flow Flexible Mesh (D-Flow FM) is the new software engine for hydrodynamical simulations on unstructured grids in 1D-2D-3D. Together with the familiar curvilinear meshes from Delft3D 4, the unstructured grid can consist of triangles, pentagons (etc.) and 1D channel networks, all in one single mesh. It combines proven technology from the hydrodynamic engines of Delft3D 4 and SOBEK 2 and adds flexible administration, resulting in:

  • Easier 1D-2D-3D model coupling, intuitive setup of boundary conditions and meteorological forcings (amongst others).
  • More flexible 2D gridding in delta regions, river junctions, harbours, intertidal flats and more.
  • High performance by smart use of multicore architectures, and grid computing clusters.

Hello!

I tried to simulate a wave in a region alone by Delft3D-WAVE.But there are some problems. I used the Delft3D-FLOW to simulate ocean current i n one area . And I got the history file and map file by running a scenario using Delft3D-MENU.I can also add monitoring point to get a detailed data in some time from the history file.in the Delft3D-FLOW.

But I can not get the history file in WAVE after running a scenario using Delft3D-MENU.and I want to get a place detailed data about the wave which I simulated. There are only Waves map file: <wavm- *.dat>. So I found the following problems in Delft3D-WAVE which I want to be helped.

  1. How to add monitoring points in the Delft3D-WAVE?
  2. What should we do when I want to output the detailed time series(just like csv files) data of a monitoring point about wave information rather than the map files in the Delft3D-WAVE?
