intro story D-Flow FM
D-Flow Flexible MeshD-Flow Flexible Mesh (D-Flow FM) is the new software engine for hydrodynamical simulations on unstructured grids in 1D-2D-3D. Together with the familiar curvilinear meshes from Delft3D 4, the unstructured grid can consist of triangles, pentagons (etc.) and 1D channel networks, all in one single mesh. It combines proven technology from the hydrodynamic engines of Delft3D 4 and SOBEK 2 and adds flexible administration, resulting in:
An overview of the current developments can be found here. The D-Flow FM - team would be delighted if you would participate in discussions on the generation of meshes, the specification of boundary conditions, the running of computations, and all kinds of other relevant topics. checkout failed SVN turtoise
I have trouble downloading the code with SVN turtoise. I get the following error message:
Unable to connect to a repository at URL
https://svn.oss.deltares.nl/repos/delft3d/tags
OPTIONS of https://svn.oss.deltares.nl/repos/delft3d/tags : could not resolve
hostname svn.oss.deltares.nl: No such host is known
Did anyone come across this before and has any idea why the server can't be found?
It should pop up with a box asking for my password, but that never happens.
I can sign-in easily via internet explorer using the same URL, so I don't understand why SVN turtoise cannot connect to it.
I appreciate any hints and tips.
Thanks

It works fine for me.
Did you try accessing the svn through your browser? It might be a temporary issue on the server

One possible cause is that internet explorer is using a proxy and tortoise svn is not.
You can check the proxy settings in Internet Explorer and if it does indeed have a proxy set:
- Copy the proxy settings from internet explorer or get them from the network administrator
- Right-click on the desktop or in any folder to get the context menu, select the 'settings' option under the
TortoiseSVN menu item - Select the 'Network' section in the left pane of the window
- Check the 'Enable Proxy Server' checkbox
- Enter in the proxy server settings, from step 1
