delft dashboard - D-Flow Flexible Mesh - Delft3D
intro story D-Flow FM
D-Flow Flexible MeshD-Flow Flexible Mesh (D-Flow FM) is the new software engine for hydrodynamical simulations on unstructured grids in 1D-2D-3D. Together with the familiar curvilinear meshes from Delft3D 4, the unstructured grid can consist of triangles, pentagons (etc.) and 1D channel networks, all in one single mesh. It combines proven technology from the hydrodynamic engines of Delft3D 4 and SOBEK 2 and adds flexible administration, resulting in:
An overview of the current developments can be found here. The D-Flow FM - team would be delighted if you would participate in discussions on the generation of meshes, the specification of boundary conditions, the running of computations, and all kinds of other relevant topics. Feel free to share your smart questions and/or brilliant solutions!

Hi!
I've been trying to use delft dashboard to generate a boundary condition file with tides from the TPX Global Inverse Tide model. Either with the 6.2 or 7.2 model, I get an error that says:
"Error using netcdflib.
The NetCDF library encountered an error during execution of 'open' function - 'I/O failure (NC_EIO)'. If the data source was an OPeNDAP URL, see the OPeNDAP Troubleshooting section in the Users Guide."
Anyone who can help me resolve this? I'm sorry if I use this forum, I cannot post in the DelftDashboard forum.
Thanks,
Olive

Dear Olive,
It can be that you may have access problems to the OpenDAP server(s) where Dashboard downloads the data from. The server might have been down for maintenance this morning. I have checked just a minute ago and all the required servers seem to be up now. Also in Dashboard everything seems to work fine. Security might be another issue. Are you behind a proxy server? If so, it could be that you're not allowed to download data from (some) external servers. In this case you might have to change the proxy settings.
Kind regards,
Wiebe de Boer

I tried dashboard again from a different network without proxy and it worked. Thanks much, Wiebe!
