Problems when trying to run any example from tutorial - GUI installed - D-Flow Flexible Mesh - Delft3D
intro story D-Flow FM
D-Flow Flexible MeshD-Flow Flexible Mesh (D-Flow FM) is the new software engine for hydrodynamical simulations on unstructured grids in 1D-2D-3D. Together with the familiar curvilinear meshes from Delft3D 4, the unstructured grid can consist of triangles, pentagons (etc.) and 1D channel networks, all in one single mesh. It combines proven technology from the hydrodynamic engines of Delft3D 4 and SOBEK 2 and adds flexible administration, resulting in:
An overview of the current developments can be found here. The D-Flow FM - team would be delighted if you would participate in discussions on the generation of meshes, the specification of boundary conditions, the running of computations, and all kinds of other relevant topics. Feel free to share your smart questions and/or brilliant solutions!

Problems when trying to run any example from tutorial - GUI installed

Hi, Deltares Community.
Almost 2 months ago, I supposedly had compiled Delft3D_5.01.00.2163 on Windows 7 properly. I was able to run the examples from its own directory as shown on first screenshot. Thus, I requested GUI and got the links and license in a couple of days, everything was OK..

It wasn't until now when I've been able to be back to work on Delft3D-FLOW installation. I installed GUI into the same folder, together with Delft3D compiled files. Then I installed the tutorial application. I was browsing the folders and wanted to run any of the examples by choosing .mdf file from the working directory, and I got this error:

So I decided to copy files from ...\bin\w32\flow\bin\ (original directory created on my hard disk when I finished compiling) to ...\w32\flow\bin\ as described on route. I was asked to replace some files but I declined.
It didn't solve my problems. After, this was displayed:

I changed permission either d_hydro.exe or deltares_hydro.exe for executing them as administrator. So I got this...

Could it be a compiling error despite of the fact that examples ran good at first point? I'm not really sure of what to do now.
Is there any basic step I'm missing?
Thank you for your time and for any suggestions.

Hi Constanzo,
You can not combine old Delft3D-FLOW binaries with a new GUI. See the warnings at the TEMPORARY EXTRA SERVICE and/or the release notes.
Regards,
Adri
