intro story D-Flow FM
D-Flow Flexible MeshD-Flow Flexible Mesh (D-Flow FM) is the new software engine for hydrodynamical simulations on unstructured grids in 1D-2D-3D. Together with the familiar curvilinear meshes from Delft3D 4, the unstructured grid can consist of triangles, pentagons (etc.) and 1D channel networks, all in one single mesh. It combines proven technology from the hydrodynamic engines of Delft3D 4 and SOBEK 2 and adds flexible administration, resulting in:
An overview of the current developments can be found here. The D-Flow FM - team would be delighted if you would participate in discussions on the generation of meshes, the specification of boundary conditions, the running of computations, and all kinds of other relevant topics. Feel free to share your smart questions and/or brilliant solutions!

Dears,
I'm trying to run Delft3D-Flow with Wave process (offline).
First, I run the Flow to create the communication file. Then, I run the Wave to update my com-file. When I run again the Flow, now with the Wave process (offline) selected, this message appears:
_____________________________________________________________
NEFIS message 9002:
Element "DISTOT " of group "WAVTIM" not found on file "com-____.dat"
Flow exited abnormally
Check diagnosis file
_____________________________________________________________
Could you, please, help me?
Thank you very much!
Regards,
Luciana

Hi Luciana,
This might be related to a bug fixed in revision 3007 (see release notes).
Can you try using the tagged revision 3008?
If this does not help:
What FLOW version do you use?
What WAVE version do you use?
Please use the GUI utility named "VSI" to investigate your com-file:
What is the name of the dissipation related element in group "WAVTIM"?
What is the content of element "FILE-VERSION" in group "com-version"?
Regards,
Adri
