D-Flow Flexible Mesh

D-Flow Flexible Mesh (D-Flow FM) is the new software engine for hydrodynamical simulations on unstructured grids in 1D-2D-3D. Together with the familiar curvilinear meshes from Delft3D 4, the unstructured grid can consist of triangles, pentagons (etc.) and 1D channel networks, all in one single mesh. It combines proven technology from the hydrodynamic engines of Delft3D 4 and SOBEK 2 and adds flexible administration, resulting in:

  • Easier 1D-2D-3D model coupling, intuitive setup of boundary conditions and meteorological forcings (amongst others).
  • More flexible 2D gridding in delta regions, river junctions, harbours, intertidal flats and more.
  • High performance by smart use of multicore architectures, and grid computing clusters.

Hi all,

Apologies for creating another thread about this but the problem seems to have extended. A couple days ago Delft Dashboard stopped being able to access the Tide Database (models such as TPXO and European Shelf became unavailable). Now several servers for .xml files cannot be accessed e.g. tidestations.xml. Attached is the errors received in the command window upon startup.

Can anyone verify that this is not a local problem at my end but an issue at OPeNDAP/Deltares?

For anyone interested/following, having contacted Deltares OPeNDAP's server is down. Deltares have only just become aware of this situation and are resolving it.

Hi Christian,

I am having the same errors now. I downloaded the latest Delft Dashboard version and the Matlab Runtime Compiler as well.

However today (03/18/2021), I accessed the Tide Database models and found the same errors. Can you access it today as well?

Your help would be very much appreciated.
