D-Flow Flexible Mesh

D-Flow Flexible Mesh (D-Flow FM) is the new software engine for hydrodynamical simulations on unstructured grids in 1D-2D-3D. Together with the familiar curvilinear meshes from Delft3D 4, the unstructured grid can consist of triangles, pentagons (etc.) and 1D channel networks, all in one single mesh. It combines proven technology from the hydrodynamic engines of Delft3D 4 and SOBEK 2 and adds flexible administration, resulting in:

  • Easier 1D-2D-3D model coupling, intuitive setup of boundary conditions and meteorological forcings (amongst others).
  • More flexible 2D gridding in delta regions, river junctions, harbours, intertidal flats and more.
  • High performance by smart use of multicore architectures, and grid computing clusters.

Hi users,

I finally get to install with success the version 5.01.00.2163. Was 87 succeded, 0 failed, 0 up to date, 0 skipped. The 5 examples are work fine.
I installed teh gui too, but i don't get to open a example with the gui. All utilities are working fine (apparently), but the example don't open.
Appear a window saying: "Switching to other directory not allowed here. Please, stay in current directory and try again." But I install the gui on D: and downloaded and compiled the open sorce code on C:.
What I have to do???

Hi Kyssyanne,

before starting simulation you need to select working directory (path in which the example files exist)
