Problem with wave.exe file - D-Flow Flexible Mesh - Delft3D
intro story D-Flow FM
D-Flow Flexible MeshD-Flow Flexible Mesh (D-Flow FM) is the new software engine for hydrodynamical simulations on unstructured grids in 1D-2D-3D. Together with the familiar curvilinear meshes from Delft3D 4, the unstructured grid can consist of triangles, pentagons (etc.) and 1D channel networks, all in one single mesh. It combines proven technology from the hydrodynamic engines of Delft3D 4 and SOBEK 2 and adds flexible administration, resulting in:
An overview of the current developments can be found here. The D-Flow FM - team would be delighted if you would participate in discussions on the generation of meshes, the specification of boundary conditions, the running of computations, and all kinds of other relevant topics. Feel free to share your smart questions and/or brilliant solutions!

Hello Adri;
I have just started using Delft 3D. At the first step I instaled the Tag version and tired to run the examples. I could fixed the problem with .dll file reading the previous posts. But then I got the following error
'..\..\src\engines_gpl\wave\bin\release\wave.exe' is not recognised as an internal or external command.
I have compiled the source file following the compileng guidance on the website but 'wave.exe' file was not made. I appriciate if you can guidd me about that.(Should I do change in .bat file? ) Also is graphical interface available for the open source DELFT 3D and if so how can use it?
Thank you in advance.
Best Regards
Vahid

Hi Vahid,
Try using "https://svn.oss.deltares.nl/repos/delft3d/tags/4.00.03.0565". If you compile this, the executables will be "installed" in directory "bin", next to "src" and "examples". The run script in directory "examples\03_flow-wave" should work without any copying around of binaries.
If this does not help:
- do you work on Linux or on Windows?
- do you have any error message about what is going wrong?
Regards,
Adri
