D-Flow Flexible Mesh

D-Flow Flexible Mesh (D-Flow FM) is the new software engine for hydrodynamical simulations on unstructured grids in 1D-2D-3D. Together with the familiar curvilinear meshes from Delft3D 4, the unstructured grid can consist of triangles, pentagons (etc.) and 1D channel networks, all in one single mesh. It combines proven technology from the hydrodynamic engines of Delft3D 4 and SOBEK 2 and adds flexible administration, resulting in:

  • Easier 1D-2D-3D model coupling, intuitive setup of boundary conditions and meteorological forcings (amongst others).
  • More flexible 2D gridding in delta regions, river junctions, harbours, intertidal flats and more.
  • High performance by smart use of multicore architectures, and grid computing clusters.

Online Wave Computation Stalling Without Error Messages

Hello All,

I am having some trouble getting my online wave computation to run. I was able to successfully run an online wave computation before but I then also included time series wave input data to my model and found that my computation would stall and not return any error in the tri-diag file.

I get the following output when running my model on my terminal:

I have read the following thread and tried the suggestions but haven't gotten any good results from them

I also found that when I try to run a new computation or remove the file containing my failed computation I get the following error from my terminal:
DioError 101 : Could not connect to stream FLOW2WAVE_DATA.txt
DioError 901 : Could not set available: FLOW2WAVE_DATA.txt_FLOW2WAVE_DATA.data
