Guickplot not starting - D-Flow Flexible Mesh - Delft3D
intro story D-Flow FM
D-Flow Flexible MeshD-Flow Flexible Mesh (D-Flow FM) is the new software engine for hydrodynamical simulations on unstructured grids in 1D-2D-3D. Together with the familiar curvilinear meshes from Delft3D 4, the unstructured grid can consist of triangles, pentagons (etc.) and 1D channel networks, all in one single mesh. It combines proven technology from the hydrodynamic engines of Delft3D 4 and SOBEK 2 and adds flexible administration, resulting in:
An overview of the current developments can be found here. The D-Flow FM - team would be delighted if you would participate in discussions on the generation of meshes, the specification of boundary conditions, the running of computations, and all kinds of other relevant topics. Guickplot not starting
Hello all?
I just installed Delft3D on a new workstation (win7 64bite), and everything seemed to be OK untill I ran Guickplot.
It just showed "Please wait.....Quickplot is loading" message, but didn't turn to the Guickplot GUI.
I have been tried to reinstall the MCR or Delft3D, however, it just didn't work.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Alan

Hi Alan,
It's important that you use the correct MCR installer (version number, 32bit/64bit), fitting with the QuickPlot version you have. Please check the documentation on that.
You probably also have to install the correct Visual C Redistributable: "vcredist_x64 (2010 SP1).exe" or "vcredist_x86 (2010 SP1).exe". They should be inside your Delft3D installation.
Regards,
Adri

Hi Adri,
Thanks for your answer!
I am not sure which vision my MCRInstaller is. But it may be a 32 bite vision, since it works on win7 32 bite.
How can I get the information?
And where can I download the 64 bite vision of MCRInstaller?
Regards
Alan

Hi Alan,
Does the directory containing the QuickPlot binaries contain a README file or an version-info text file? If you are using QuickPlot as part of a Delft3D installation, what Delft3D version are you using?
You can download the MCRInstaller from the MatLab site.
Regards,
Adri
