RGFGRID and Quickin - D-Flow Flexible Mesh - Delft3D
intro story D-Flow FM
D-Flow Flexible MeshD-Flow Flexible Mesh (D-Flow FM) is the new software engine for hydrodynamical simulations on unstructured grids in 1D-2D-3D. Together with the familiar curvilinear meshes from Delft3D 4, the unstructured grid can consist of triangles, pentagons (etc.) and 1D channel networks, all in one single mesh. It combines proven technology from the hydrodynamic engines of Delft3D 4 and SOBEK 2 and adds flexible administration, resulting in:
An overview of the current developments can be found here. The D-Flow FM - team would be delighted if you would participate in discussions on the generation of meshes, the specification of boundary conditions, the running of computations, and all kinds of other relevant topics. Feel free to share your smart questions and/or brilliant solutions!

Hi,
All tools are included in the setup that you obtain; no need to ask for specific tools individually.
Did you obtain setup.delft3d.openhydromorpho.exe?
Did you install/run setup.delft3d.openhydromorpho.exe?
When you run d3d_menu.exe, select "Grid" in the first menu, and you'll find RGFGRID and QUICKIN.
There are no programs called rgfgrid.exe or quickin.exe; the combination of mfe_app.exe (in plugins\bin) and rgfgrid.dll runs RGFGRID. This makes it possible to run RGFGRID and QUICKIN as ArcGIS plugins (and most likely in 2012 also as QGIS plugins). It's possible to start rgfgrid from the command line as mfe_app.exe rgfgrid.dll rgfgrid.

setup was successful ....
I am vry new to Delft3d. I am using the compiled version of Delft3D using a licence as I requested, and it was successfully installed . but When I tried to run an example I got the following error:
"executable "wave.exe" not found on directory C:/Delft3d/win32/wave/bin"
Actually i saw ur reply in one f the discussion. but i need to know how can the executables to be added? did i need to download the source code through subversion for doing so?

I'll answer this question in the "missing wave.exe file" thread where you posted this same question an hour before.
