DELWAQ

DELWAQ is the engine of the D-Water Quality and D-Ecology programmes of the Delft3D suite. It is based on a rich library from which relevant substances and processes can be selected to quickly put water and sediment quality models together.

The processes library covers many aspects of water quality and ecology, from basic tracers, dissolved oxygen, nutrients, organic matter, inorganic suspended matter, heavy metals, bacteria and organic micro-pollutants, to complex algae and macrophyte dynamics. High performance solvers enable the simulation of long periods, often required to capture the full cycles of the processes being modelled.

The finite volume approach underlying DELWAQ allows it to be coupled to both the structured grid hydrodynamics of the current Delft3D-FLOW engine and the upcoming D-Flow Flexible Mesh engine (1D-2D-3D) of the Delft3D Flexible Mesh Suite (or even other models such as TELEMAC).

Hi,

could anyone send me the source Code of ddcouple? I cannot use the published ddcouple for  Linux, because of differences between Compilers. After running the ddcouple in console and Input the ddb file, the Compiler cannot recognize the published ddcouple.

This is the latest version of ddcouple. It contains a fix for the following issue:

Issue: DELFT3D-35908
DDCOUPLE removed an external boundary when it accidentally overlaps with an internal MPI domain boundary. Only replace a boundary with a segment number when there is an actual segment on the other side of the domain boundary, other wise the boundary remains. For the final lga, we need to scan an extra row/column in the grid to see if there were any boundaries left there.

 

It also contains a script to set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH to the directory where the compiler so's reside. You have to change the path mentioned to where you placed the executable yourself.

 

I hope the problem isn't caused by the number of domains you have. There shouldn't be any hard coded limits, but it is an old program so I'm not sure.
