DELWAQ is the engine of the D-Water Quality and D-Ecology programmes of the Delft3D suite. It is based on a rich library from which relevant substances and processes can be selected to quickly put water and sediment quality models together.

The processes library covers many aspects of water quality and ecology, from basic tracers, dissolved oxygen, nutrients, organic matter, inorganic suspended matter, heavy metals, bacteria and organic micro-pollutants, to complex algae and macrophyte dynamics. High performance solvers enable the simulation of long periods, often required to capture the full cycles of the processes being modelled.

The finite volume approach underlying DELWAQ allows it to be coupled to both the structured grid hydrodynamics of the current Delft3D-FLOW engine and the upcoming D-Flow Flexible Mesh engine (1D-2D-3D) of the Delft3D Flexible Mesh Suite (or even other models such as TELEMAC).

Coupling RTC-Module in Delft-3D Flow

Dear Delft user community,

I am trying to use RTC (Real-Time Control) in a simple Delft3d-Flow model to try develop water management system. I do not have much experience in before, so I have a question about that and at the end, I will give the relevant files.

I was going to try run the model and coupling the flow model with RTC module, but it wasn't working well. The flow cmd box (attached) and rtc cmd box (attached) was freeze. But, when I try to run the model without RTC module, it was running as well as usual. The tri-diag files only displays ‘Creating new trih’ and ‘Creating new trim’ at the end. Does anyone know what was going on? I hope someone here will be able to give a clue about what might go wrong.

Hi Andi,
I am facing the same problem. Have you figured it out?
 I am using delft3d-rtc to model the effect of the real time gate operation on flow . I use delft3d version 4.04.04 download from delft3d center. I always get the error:In synchronisation with RTC Routine:SyncFlowRtc_Init in tri-diag.2dw. I use the test example, 09.01-basic attached by Adri Mourits (https://oss.deltares.nl/web/delft3d/river1/-/message_boards/message/300100)  , as Adri suggested I have changed the path inside the script. 
I appreciate your help!
