DELWAQ

DELWAQ is the engine of the D-Water Quality and D-Ecology programmes of the Delft3D suite. It is based on a rich library from which relevant substances and processes can be selected to quickly put water and sediment quality models together.

The processes library covers many aspects of water quality and ecology, from basic tracers, dissolved oxygen, nutrients, organic matter, inorganic suspended matter, heavy metals, bacteria and organic micro-pollutants, to complex algae and macrophyte dynamics. High performance solvers enable the simulation of long periods, often required to capture the full cycles of the processes being modelled.

The finite volume approach underlying DELWAQ allows it to be coupled to both the structured grid hydrodynamics of the current Delft3D-FLOW engine and the upcoming D-Flow Flexible Mesh engine (1D-2D-3D) of the Delft3D Flexible Mesh Suite (or even other models such as TELEMAC).

Hello,

I'm currently trying to compile Delft3D on Windows 10 64-bit using Visual Studio Community 2019, .NET Framework 4.8, and Intel Parallel Studio XE 2019. I used TortoiseSVN to checkout tags/delft3d4/65936 and prepared the solution by using Python 3.7. However, when I tried to build the solution with Visual Studio, I ran into a few errors, including the following:

Additionally, I also attached the complete output log here. I apologize in advance for follow-up questions in the future as I have very limited knowledge in this field. Any help or suggestion would be appreciated.

Hello Dmitry,

Thank you for your suggestion. I've checked and followed the tutorial, but I faced the same problems when I apply the steps to compile Delft3D 4 instead of Delft3D FM. I must say that I'm not familiar with the difference between Delft3D 4 and Delft3D FM yet, and the sole reason I chose Delft3D 4 is that it was used in the course that I'm taking. Is there a different procedure to compile Delft3D 4? Or do you have any recommendations?
