intro story DELWAQ
DELWAQDELWAQ is the engine of the D-Water Quality and D-Ecology programmes of the Delft3D suite. It is based on a rich library from which relevant substances and processes can be selected to quickly put water and sediment quality models together. The processes library covers many aspects of water quality and ecology, from basic tracers, dissolved oxygen, nutrients, organic matter, inorganic suspended matter, heavy metals, bacteria and organic micro-pollutants, to complex algae and macrophyte dynamics. High performance solvers enable the simulation of long periods, often required to capture the full cycles of the processes being modelled. The finite volume approach underlying DELWAQ allows it to be coupled to both the structured grid hydrodynamics of the current Delft3D-FLOW engine and the upcoming D-Flow Flexible Mesh engine (1D-2D-3D) of the Delft3D Flexible Mesh Suite (or even other models such as TELEMAC). 'DELWAQ in open source' is our invitation to all leading experts to collaborate in further development and research in the field of water quality, ecology and morphology using Delft3D. Feel free to post your DELWAQ related questions or comments in this dedicated forum space. If you are new to DELWAQ, the tutorial (in the user manual) is a good place to start. Created 2way-coupling communication file error
Youngling Posts: 11 Join Date: 4/3/13 Recent PostsIn delWAQ(Waterquality) model, input file are correlate with flow or sediment model result.
Flow and sediment are is performed at the same time and it can be created com-file.
Next, user execute coup2.exe. and waq input file made this performance.
At present, my interest are 2way coupling(flow, sediment, wave).
Flow, wave and sediment are performed at the same time and it can be created com-file.
Next, to use this as an input of the waq model.
Now, user performed 2way-coupling, com-file not created and initial information saved com-file.
Performed every time flow, wave and sediment data are not save com-file.
This problem is user setting 2way-coupling error? or fixed code so called 'rewind' ?
If i get a similar type of sample files available?
please tell me solve this problem..
Have a good day~

There is however a solution in turning on 'Export WAQ input' on the last Output screen in the FLOW user interface. You can then for to the 'Edit WAQ input' screen to set up in a similair way that the coupling does what period and interval you would want for WAQ. This way FLOW will convert directly into WAQ input, and conversion of a communication file is necessary any more (no coup203 needed). The ouput and hyd-file should be directly usable in WAQ.

Michel
