First webinar about the Delft3D Flexible Mesh developments

Deltares is pleased to announce that Mr Arthur van Dam will present the first webinar about the Delft3D Flexible Mesh developments:

‘D-Flow Flexible Mesh: Introduction to the new hydrodynamic simulation engine’
Wednesday 09 October 2013, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM (CDT)

D-Flow Flexible Mesh is the new Delft3D hydrodynamic simulation engine from Deltares. It offers 1D2D3D modeling of hydrostatic flow on both structured and unstructured grids, and also features HPC on computing clusters. D-Flow Flexible Mesh has been presented numerous times at (inter)national conferences, but now it is time for the first webinar. The following topics will be discussed:

• General introduction: flexibility and quality aspects of unstructured grid generation
• Open source plans and early availability of the software.
• Current state: hydrodynamics, water quality, 3D modeling, illustrated by pilot projects.
• Upcoming features for 2014.

The interactive setting of the webinars allows you to communicate with the team of developers and ask whatever you would like to learn about D-Flow Flexible Mesh. During the webinar, we have a panel of expert users and software developers available to answer questions received via text. After the webinar presentation, there is an opportunity to ask verbal questions to the presenter.

About registration:
As of now, registration is open (http://oss.deltares.nl/web/delft3d/webinars). After registering, you will receive confirmation via e-mail containing information about joining the webinar.

In the webinar section of the Delft3D Open Source website, all the footage of previous webinars and information of upcoming webinars will be provided. It is our intention to organize webinars every second Wednesday of the month, giving you the opportunity to learn and interact on a variety of topics in the operating field of hydrodynamics, waves, sediments, morphology, water quality and related software developments. Feel free to share your topic of interest and your opinion, with us and other experts in one of the discussion forums on the website.

We look forward to seeing you via the webinar!

Kind regards,
