Webinar "Water Quality modeling with DELWAQ: Principles and notable applications" on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 (17:00 CEST, 11:00 EDT)

Deltares is pleased to announce that Jos van Gils (Deltares) will present the webinar on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 (17:00 CEST, 11:00 EDT) entitled:

"Water Quality modeling with DELWAQ: Principles and notable applications"

On March 8, 2013, Deltares announced that DELWAQ, the engine of the D-Water Quality and D-Ecology programs of the Delft3D software suite, is available in open source. To support the community in working with DELWAQ, we offered the webinar 'Water Quality modeling with DELWAQ: Open source code compiling and start modeling' by Michel Jeuken (Deltares) on March 13, 2013.

This second webinar (April 10, 17:00 CEST, 11:00 EDT) will discuss the principles and notable water quality applications using DELWAQ. The following topics will be discussed:

  • Basic equations & key variables in the program code
  • Units & transporting media
  • Numerical methods, dynamic problems & steady states
  • Water quality processes & the processes library
  • Add your own processes via the Open Processes Library
  • Flexibility with transportable and non-transportable variables
  • Mass balance output

During the presentation, we have a panel of experts available to answer questions via the text function in GoToWebinar. As time allows after the presentation, verbal questions can be posed to the presenter.

About registration:

You can register now. Please use the option 'Show in my Time Zone'. After registering, you will receive a confirmation e-mail containing information about joining the webinar.
