SOS!!!
need help!!!
I am trying to couple flow and waq modules.

The flow ran successfully and generated the com- file for the coupling. When I try to run the coupling program, I get the following error message. Can anyone suggest what might be wrong in my flow or coupling set up? Thanks

That is a rather surprising error, as this has been working for many years. Could you attach the com files (both .dat and .def) to this post? I would like to have a closer look.

Sorry I'm a bit late in answering. The problem is that FLOW doesn't write the MNKSRC variable any more when it is zero, but the coupling program still want to read that one, even if it is zero. The best way is to avoid the coupling program at all, and switch on 'write WAQ output' in the FLOW user interface (on the output panel).

How did you solve your problem?

I am also experiencing error 6005 in the coupling.

Thank you.

I did a test with and without DISCHARGE and verified that the coupling only works if you put at least one DISCHARGE avoid the error:

NEFIS message 6005: Element 'MNKSRC' does not exist in definition file

I tested with a WAQ (inlet) tutorial.

Hi João,

When the ONLINE or export WAQ input files are getting to big, please check the settings you have made for this coupling on the extra panel. The files should be about the same size as when you use the communication file with the same settings, but when you use the communication file (depreciated for WAQ coupling), you have to run the coupling program separately, and get the same amount of data in the end as with the online coupling.

Adding at least one operation with a discharge of 0.0 is a good workaround. But I also fixed te coupling program. Attached to this message is the latest version.

greetings,
Michelle
