Aggregating new substances' processes with Delft3D-WAQ

Dear all,
I am having some trouble in the process of joint the processes of new substances created and the rest of WAQ. Basically, I am trying to include a new primary producer and when I intent afterwards to include a parameter in NH4 substances group (e.g. to refer to the uptake of nutrients from that primary producer), I select the already created NUTUPT Fortran and click create. However, that file still has the “insert code here ????”, as the new substances created from the scratch have. I was expecting to have to indicate only how that new term is included in the already developed formulation of the model, but it seems not to be the case. Thus, I am not quite sure if there is another way or I should insert the whole code for NH4 and include the new parameter (if so, is there any change to access to the original FORTRAN file created for that?).

Any suggestion/advice is most welcome,
Thank you in advance.
Ana Costa.

Hi Ana,

If you are looking for the source code of all the processes, you can find it here (you need your oss account credentials to log in):

https://svn.oss.deltares.nl/repos/delft3d/trunk/src/engines_gpl/waq/packages/waq_kernel/src/waq_process

Attached is an example of the nutrient uptake.

You can use the PLCT to extent the inputs and outputs, or use the more text-based proces library tools here with the input/output tables for the processes:

https://svn.oss.deltares.nl/repos/delft3d/trunk/src/engines_gpl/waq/packages/waq_kernel/src/waq_tables

See waqpb_help.bat for a very brief instruction.

Be aware that if you put extra input in a process, you will have to shift the outputs too!
