Hi Dear Adri;

I'm having a problem with compiling the source codes. I got this error: " Project not selected to build for this solution configuration" while the compilation of 7545. I'd be most grateful if you could take a look at my output window messages.

I'm using Microsoft visual studio enterprise 2015, Intel parallel studio XE 2016 and python 3.6.5.

Best.

Hi Mohammad,

That's correct: project flow2d3d_openda should not be used. Your output file looks fine, no errors.

Adri

Hi Mohammad,

I also use vs 2015, Intel parallel studio XE 2016, but it got stuck when I compiled it. And I am thinking maybe the environment is not right. Could you please share me with what options you selected in VS 2015? I appreciate it a lot! By the way, my email is xiaofeng.liu@gatech.edu

Hi, Sir or Madam,

When I compiled source code, there is always an error occurring in the folder vs and said CANNOT FIND vs file. Then I remove the vs folder and turns out it works and successfully compiled and had 81 succeed. I also tested all the examples and it all works. I just want to know if there is an impact to remove /tools_gpl/vs/vs project. I will appreciate it if you can reply. Thanks a lot.

Hi Bing ZHA,

Removing project "vs" will not harm. It's a small, stand alone, not often used tool for extracting data from Nefis files.

We also noticed problems on compiling "vs" when using Windows 10 and recent VisualStudio versions. It seems that Lex/Yacc (used only for compiling "vs") is not supported anymore, or at least in a different way. I'll discuss it internally what to do and will propose to remove it from the solution permanently.

Regards,

Adri
