dflowm: version 1.1.113
delta shell: version 1.0
windows: Windows 7 Pro (64-bit instruction set)
I want to impose a uniform wind field on my water body.
I specifiy the paths to the files containing the X/Y components of the wind field information.
I select either a pair of wnd files for the uniform wind case (FILETYPE=1 METHOD=1) or a pair of amu/amv files to simulate the uniform wind case with an unchanging time-varying wind (FILETYPE=4 METHOD=2).
In both cases as I try to save the project the program throws the error:
2014-10-21 11:44:08,437 ERROR DeltaShell.Plugins.Data.NHibernate.DelftTools.Shell.Core.Dao.NHibernateObjectRepository`2[[DelftTools.Shell.Core.Project, DelftTools.Shell.Core, Version=184.108.40.206, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=cef13554f3ca1f2d],[System.Int64, mscorlib, Version=220.127.116.11, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089]].SaveOrUpdate - Can't save Project:
For non Dutch readers the underlined text means: It can get no access to the file <path> because it is being used by another process.
To my recognition, no other program is using those files (whether they are of wnd or amu/amv type), neither an editor nor a file manager. Incidentally I have used Notepad++ and Total Commander respectively, which seem to work regularly.
The outcome is the same upon
* creating the ext file manually
* saving the ext file in both <project directory>\Water Flow FM Model\ and <project directory>\Water_Flow_FM_Model_output
* declaring it to the mdu file
* save or run the project
The situation is solved if I then restart the computer, restart DeltaShell (without opening any text editor and file manager for good measure) but I would like to avoid this [NB this line has been re edited].
Has anyone come across this sort of problems? Is there anything I may have been overlooking? Is this occurrence worth to be addressed in a future release?

I believe your issue was resolved in the released in November 2015 version of the Delft3D Flexible Mesh.
In case you still have problems please let us know.
