keyword QUANTITY NOT found!

Youngling Posts: 13 Join Date: 4/25/16 Recent Posts
Hi,

When running from the command line I get several times during the initialization of the model the
keyword QUANTITY NOT found!
output. The model seems to continue running fine, but I would like to understand the meaning of this warning. Would it be possible that the wind is actually ignored? It should not be like that because in those cases I get no win pressure, etc warning that such external forces are not present. What is the meaning of the
QUANTITY NOT found
warning?

I pasted below the output and also attached the
.dia
file and the
.ext
file.

Thanks
Bogdan

Dear Bogdan,

The error indicates that there is a quantity not recognized by DflowFM, which is used in the external forcing files.
From files you provided us I could not reproduce the problem you have reported.
Could you perhaps attach model files necessary for the proper model initialization?

Kind regards,
Michal

Dear Michal,

Please find the model files attached.

Please look at the other request I have:
https://oss.deltares.nl/web/delft3dfm/general/-/message_boards/view_message/917828
. The pressure file created with GUI is not accepted (second attachment) which could be enabled in the legacy extension file (see the MDU file).

Best regards,
Bogdan

Dear Bogdan,

I have looked into your model. In your case the message:
** INFO   : keyword QUANTITY NOT found!

is only an information. A version compiled with the gcc does not properly understand certain line endings standards. As a result, the file with external forcing is checked for additional forcings.
This should not influence the performance or your simulation. If you run this simulation on windows this message should not appear.

Kind regards,
Michal

Dear Michal,

I was assuming that this is just a warning of some sort, but I wanted to verify that I am not missing anything,

I don't run simulations on windows as I mostly run in parallel and I don't particularly like windows.

Thanks for investigating the issue
Bogdan

PS. The new linux version 1.1.2.171 crashes after initialization. I reverted back to 1.1.0-171
